To give your plastic products a high-quality appearance at relatively low costs, we can use special screen printing techniques to provide polyester or polycarbonate films with a brushed aluminum look, carbon look or a wood look. We can even provide the films with a slight relief, making them almost indistinguishable from the real material. Only at lower costs, even with low quantities.

Customization for your application

Because your personal wishes are very important to us, we offer the opportunity to develop your own optical design, giving your product a completely unique and high-quality appearance. We are happy to discuss the possibilities with your specialists and show you examples for inspiration. Because we develop and produce this in-house, we can quickly make one or more prototypes for you, after which you can make a choice. Or perhaps you would even like to receive a second or third prototype. Fine tuning is part of it.

Technical specifications

It is important that we know what requirements you place on the product. UV stability, scratch resistance and adhesion are important parameters with which we have a lot of experience. We also supply to various markets with varying requirements, such as automotive, medical, consumer electronics and mechanical engineering. We would like to hear what your challenges are.

Adhesion to the substrate

We are only halfway done with just the foil, because you will also have to attach it (usually with tape) to a carrier. This is often an injection molded product, but it can also be other materials, with both high and low energy surface. We have extensive experience with this and can advise you on which tape is best suited. 
An alternative is to bring the foil together in an injection mold. This technology is called FIM/IMD and we refer to the following product group, because Metafas can also help you with this.

Smart plastics

In addition to screen printing with graphic inks, Metafas also has more than 20 years of experience with screen printing of electronically conductive inks such as silver. Since 2022, we have started developing 'smart plastics' with which we apply sensors, heating elements and components to the foil to provide the decorative foils with smart functionalities.
